Colleagues will know this: the ECPR Joint Sessions of Workshops is the highlight of the academic year.
It is the world’s best (and intensive, and most exhausting) conference for political scientists, political theorists, and whatnot.
The 2012 Joint Sessions in Antwerp were ‘as usual’: as usual exceptionally well organized (thanks to Central Services and the local organizers) and as usual exceptionally rewarding.
